Ninth Annual Grilled Cheese Grant 

Thank you to all that attended the Ninth Annual Grilled Cheese Grant! With your support, we raised over $5,800 for 2024 finalists Makenna  Schibler,  Stella Koslowski, Madeline Cawkins,  T.J Blanco, and Jessica Gaskey.

For the second year in GCG history, we were able to fully fund all artists’ projects!

PLUS, The Grilled Cheese Grant introduced its newest program, the Micro Re-Grant! In support of artist- run spaces and organizations within Milwaukee, we are happy to donate $500 to Tooth and Nail Milwaukee, Ping Pong Book Club, and Evil Twins Gallery

Eighth Annual Grilled Cheese Grant

Thank you to all that donated and voted during the Eighth Annual Grilled Cheese Grant. With your support, we raised a cumulative total of $6,626 for 2023 finalists Andrea Cabrera Manuel, Jovanny Hernandez Caballero, Xarion Latimore, Brandom Terres-Sanchez, and Jo Willis.

We raised enough money to fully fund all senior exhibition projects for the first time in GCG history!


With a portion of the 2023 proceeds, Grilled Cheese Grant made a donation of $662 to Diverse & Resilient, a local sexual advocacy organization that supports the LGBTQ+ community.

Seventh Annual Grilled Cheese Grant


With the support of our community, we raised a cumulative total of $2,291 for our 2022 finalists Ava Hager, Olivia Lorber, Lilly Luft, Sha’Tuon Simpson, and Eduardo Zavala.

We raised enough money to fully fund two senior exhibition projects and partially fund the remaining three at around 60% of their total proposed budgets.


With a portion of the 2022 proceeds, Grilled Cheese Grant made a donation of $305 to Diverse & Resilient, a local sexual advocacy organization that supports the LGBTQ+ community.

We raised enough money to fully fund four senior exhibition projects and partially fund the remaining one.

Due to the circumstances surrounding the global pandemic, this years GCG was held virtually and each selected finalist exhibit work at a storefront space in Riverwest. Grilled Cheese Grant patrons were able to view the selected finalists’ work safely through gallery space windows at either Yours Truly or Gluon Gallery. The exhibition was also virtually accessible through the GCG website. All votes and donations were submitted electronically through a form on the GCG website.

We raised enough money to fully fund two senior exhibition projects and partially fund the remaining three.
